This year, we are pleased to announce the beneficiary of the 2023 Annual Galentines Gala is Elise Jones. Elise is a Yoga Therapist out of Midway, Utah and founded Utah Yoga & Wellness, and has been teaching group fitness for 19 years. In 2009, she was diagnosed with ASD- Atrial Septal Defect- in which a hole was found in the wall that separates the upper chambers of her heart. She had Open Heart Surgery to rebuild her septum in 2016, but in 2021, she was then diagnosed with Chronic Heart Failure. This left her with a permanent condition that is now managed by medication and lifestyle restrictions. Last November, she went in for a Lung Resection Surgery and has been on the road to recovery. Through her challenges, she remains an advocate of emotional health and resilience, while continuing to live by her mantra "Share Your Heart".
